Alison LaMonica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- R, CASAC-T with over twenty-four years of experience working with mental health and substance use disorders. She is a graduate from Adelphi University with both a bachelor’s of Social Welfare and a Master of Social Work. Alison has had the privilege to work with adolescents, families, individuals and groups in various settings, such as public schools, community outpatient clinics, rehabilitation facilities, and the criminal justice system. These vast experiences have enabled Alison to have a unique perspective and evidence-based success in the recognition and treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Through a Person-Centered and Trauma-Informed approach, Alison incorporates integrative and evidence-based approaches while fostering a safe and confidential environment for personal growth. Alison specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, family conflict and relationship issues, grief/loss, addiction/recovery and co-occurring disorders.

Alison is easily known for her passion and her ability to engage clients in a therapeutic relationship. She believes wholeheartedly at providing psychoeducation around the needs and meeting her clients where they are at so they can be empowered to make long lasting change. She has developed a positive working relationship with many community-based providers and is recognized for her compassionate and direct approach with those she works with.
